The study of Arabic manuscripts and old printed books collected during archaeological expeditions reveals new information on history, literature and language. Written monuments contain information about   the life of the population, biographical information about the owners and scribes, information about Muslim education, historical events and lists of famous literary monuments in Oriental languages. In the end of 2024 the Manuscripts Fund of the Institute of History, Language and Literature of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences received the manuscripts and books of a resident of the village the Old Chetyrman of the Fedorovsky district of the Republic of Bashkortostan Sadyk Isyangulov (1886–1938). Among the documents there are 4 handwritten notebooks of Shakirds and fragments of old printed books of the second  half of the 19^th – early 20^th century. The study of the content of new written sources revealed little-known events from the history of Bashkortostan. Among the literary works, the lists of poems by famous Bashkir poets. H. Salikhov (1794–1867) “Soul in my Body”, Miftakhetdin Akmulla (1831–1895) “Edification”, excerpts from the works of famous Eastern thinkers Attar (1145–1221), Suleiman Bakirgani (1091–1186), as well as ‘munajats’, ‘baits’ and poems by unknown authors are of particular interest.
