The scientific article examines the spiritual, cultural and historical examples of tangible and intangible cultural heritage of significant value. From a folkloristic perspective, it analyzes the genres and subgenres of oral folk creativity, the emergence of their subsequent forms, their transformations over time and their place within cultural development. The study highlights the importance of folk cultural heritage, its preservation and dissemination in the present day, as well as the philosophical, cultural and historical perspectives of prominent global scholars. It emphasizes that folk memory serves as a vital resource for the future from multiple viewpoints. It is emphasized that national memory is an important resource for the future and its value should not be underestimated. The ways of spreading folk culture and the role of various institutions in its preservation in the era of globalization are discussed.
