The research is aimed at determining the preservation or detection of differences in the festive and gaming culture of modern Bashkirs based on a comparative study of 20th century materials based on S.I. Rudenko’s notes and field materials of 21st century folklorists. Chronologically, the first are the earlier ones, but Rudenko turned out to have fewer game names than modern folklorists. There are no games with chants in his materials, whereas in the materials of folklore expeditions of the 21st century they are quite richly represented. Among the holidays in the article, only such holidays as Kargatuiy and Habantuy are considered. Their study led to the conclusion that the holidays have mostly been preserved in our days, but some important details recorded by modern folklorists could have been missed, such as the struggle of the old women in Kargatuiy and Habantuy among the Kurgan Bashkirs. Such studies in the future will let us to determine the degree of preservation of the culture of the people in the time of the Bashkirs.
