This work is devoted to the identification and analysis of the terms of the Bashkir native rite presented in S.I. Rudenko’s monograph “Bashkirs. Historical and ethnographic essays” (1955; 2006). The article also attempts to assess the importance of the materials collected by the scientist for the preservation of the ethnolinguistic heritage of the Bashkir people. The vocabulary of the native rite was described by S.I. Rudenko as part of a study of Bashkir family life and folk festivals. The author records the names of maternity rituals, actors and used objects. Bashkir words with a common Turkic basis make up a significant part of the vocabulary of the native rite. The mentioned work by S.I. Rudenko has not lost its significance to this day and continues to attract the attention of linguists as an important source. The article uses such methods as ethnolinguistic, descriptive, the method of component analysis, lexicographic selection, etc.
