In modern Russian society, the formation of patriotic consciousness and the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of the country's peoples have become one of the most important state tasks. Folk pedagogy plays a special role in the implementation of national policy, reflecting centuries-old spiritual and moral values. The purpose of this article is to determine the moral and patriotic potential of Bashkir proverbs and sayings. The scientific novelty of the research lies in a comprehensive linguistic and cultural analysis of the paroemiological fund of the Bashkir people as a unified system of moral guidelines. "Russian and Bashkir folk art" multi-volume texts in Russian and Bashkir languages served as the material for the study. The work is based on comparative historical, linguocultural, and descriptive-analytical approaches. In this study, special attention is paid to paroemias that reflect key values: a sense of duty to the Motherland, awareness of the Motherland as a spiritual support, ideas of unity of the peoples of Bashkortostan and love for their native language. In Bashkir folklore, Homeland appears as a fundamental category of human existence. Folk wisdom often compares the Fatherland with the mother, claiming that the native land is more expensive than gold. Homeland here is a sacred concept that stands on a par with the stepfather's home, family and parents; it is a source of faith and spiritual strength. Bashkir proverbs also express a strong rejection of betrayal. They categorically condemn this vice, warning their descendants against treason. The results of the study confirm that Bashkir proverbs and sayings represent an inexhaustible resource for patriotic education. In the future, it is possible to conduct a comparative analysis of Bashkir proverbs with the proverbs of other peoples of Russia. This will allow us to identify common features and unique features of their moral and patriotic content. The practical significance of the work lies in the fact that the findings can be used in the development of textbooks on literature, history and social studies, as well as in extracurricular activities. Introducing young people to folk wisdom is not only a way to foster love for the Motherland and their native language, but also an effective mechanism for forming a civic identity in a multinational society.
